To finish off our year in style we headed over to Airtastic for some trampoling and crazy golf.
P7 had lots of fun today! We did some orienteering, paddleboarding, archery and braved the 'Leap of Faith'.
This year saw the return of The Apprentice. P7 worked very hard to provide some delicious goodies for the other children to buy. Well done for all your hard work!
To finish off our Rainforest topic Jurassic Ark came and showed us some of the animals you might find in a rainforest, and a few that you wouldn't as well. We met (and held) Big Bertha the snake, a tortoise, a chameleon, and Pandora the snake; alongside meeting a very big spider and Bowser the Alligator Snapping Turtle! Big thanks to Jonny and Elaine for an amazing and unforgettable morning!
As part of our Leavers' trips we got to go to the Grand Opera House, Belfast to see 'Gangsta Granny'. We were all very impressed with the Grand Opera House, and loved the show! A trip to McDonald's was definitely well deserved and enjoyed on our way home.
We made our own pancakes this year to celebrate Shrove Tuesday. They were delicious!
We had a snowball fight with P6 on our snow day. It was very cold but a lot of fun!
Mrs Bleakney organised a Santa Fun Run for us. We ran 5 laps of the school grounds dressed up in Christmas clothes (approx. 1 mile in total) and received a medal at the end. Thank you Mrs Bleakney!
This week we learnt about the difference between bullying, being rude and being mean. On Monday we had an odd sock day to celebrate being different, and we made a kindness tree.
In P7 we can earn a pen licence. You have to be using joint handwriting, and it must be neat and clear. Once we have our pen licence we get to complete our work in pen; but we still have to work hard at keeping our handwriting neat, clear and joint.
Today we found out who our House Captains are for this year. It was very exciting!
We have been learning about different genres and their key features. Today we worked together to plan a short story, in any genre, based on one sentence. It was fun hearing all the different tales!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
