P7

P7 looked closely at the painting by Georges Seurat and were intrigued by his technique.
He is a post-impressionist artist and uses the technique called Pointillism, which involves applying hundreds of tiny dots (points) of different colours together.
From a distance this then looks like one solid colour.
The class looked at aboriginal art which also uses dots of paint to create an image and the children were so inspired they decided to create their own version.
Linking it to their cross-curricular topic of Space, they painted these amazing images of the sky and planets.
They are definitely out of this world!
