Gardening club

Primary 6 have been working very hard taking care of the flower and vegetable plots in school. They have planted lots of lovely herbs and vegetables and this week planted some Poppies. They fill the bird feeders 3 times a week and make sure there is enough food for the birds over the weekend.

P6 had visitors from the Lough Neagh Discovery Centre to talk about the vikings. The pupils had the opportunity to dress up as Vikings and hold Viking weapons and armour. They also made Viking jewellery using beads and clay and investigated Viking artefacts.

P6 went to Navan Fort in Armagh to learn more about the Vikings. They spent the day writing like monks using a quill and ink, visiting a Viking house and learning lots about Viking weapons and armour.

We have been working very hard on our "Viking Topic."
