This year we participated in the National Gallery's Take One Picture scheme. Every year the gallery selects a picture from its collection to be used as a stimulus for work across the curriculum in the primary classroom. This year's painting is "The umbrellas" (1881-86) by Pierre Auguste Renoir. Mrs. Bleakney travelled to London to attend a training course at the gallery. She then returned to school and inspired all the classes to produce work based on the painting. Click on the links on either side of the painting to see the work the pupils produced. |
